Before Buying a PC

There are certain things that you need to really spend your time before buying a PC.

1. For what you will be using your PC?
2. What type you prefer Assembled or Branded one?
3. The configurations.

Ask these three questions to yourself and depending upon the need, go to the desired level of optimization.

Buying an assembled computer will surely lower the price. Assembled PC is no way inferior to Branded ones. The main difference is that, Branded ones have their names on it. The hardware components can be chosen by you incase of assembled computer. In branded ones you dont have any option of yourself, you have to choose from pre-configured one.

Always opt for the latest processor and motherboard as it will keep your PC the latest for atleast 6 months. The L1 and L2 cache is important. Having more cache means faster system.

Buying Intel processor is ideally good because they are proven to be the best ine's in the market. Moreover they consume less power than AMD processors.

Have minimum of 1 GB ram as this will make your processing faster. Files will be opening faster at the moment you double-click

With Windows concentrating more on graphics in their new OS, opting a descent graphics card is advisable. Nvidia geforce 7200 is good. Its your choice of buying this one as this is considered as additional expenses. If you are aiming at budget PC then omit this.

With harddisk available upto 1-2 TB if you are aiming to store many movies and picture then put 500 GB Seagate harddisk.

Keeping your system cool is another way of fastening the process. A couple of good fan will do the job. You can add additional fan at your convenience. If you are more serious about cooling then have a look at the nvidia master coolers...

Optical drives are a real confusion nowadays. Whether to opt for blue-ray drive or not. This is entirely in your hand as in future blue-ray will occupy everyones pouch.

As LCD's are a standard now it is good to have one aswell. A good 17" LCD will be fine for most of them. It is low on eye and power consuming too..
